Margaret Eby is a journalist and critic who writes about books, movies, music, television, and various cultural ephemera. She is currently Deputy Food editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer. Previously, she was editorial lead at Food52, a senior editor at Food & Wine, and the senior culture editor at MyRecipes & Extra Crispy., the features and essays editor at HelloGiggles, associate editor at Brooklyn Magazine and The L Magazine, and an online books editor and entertainment reporter for The New York Daily News.
Her first book, Rock and Roll Baby Names, was published by Gotham Books in April 2012. Her second book, South Toward Home: Travels In Southern Literature, was published by Norton in September 2015, and reviewed by The New York Times, The Oxford American, and Entertainment Weekly, among other places.
